They feature flat strips or angled slats that are hung or fixed at regular intervals. As a traditional vent, they’re a popular choice for doors, shutters, and screens as they allow plenty of air and light to pass through.

Louvers can be static or movable. Because they do not open and close, Brandguard Vents are considered static. The Brandguard gable vents designed with baffles can be defined as “louvered vents” and can also stop embers and fire from entering your home. Additionally, Brandguard gable end louvered vents are ASTM E2886 listed with the State of California State Fire Marshal’s Building Material Listing. If a gable louver vent is not listed here to this highest gold standard, they did meet their required criteria for wildfire ember and fire vents.
